The Age Verification system helps ensure compliance with age restriction requirements when selling age-restricted products. The system provides visual indicators and enforces verification steps before completing transactions.
Product Configuration
Configure age restrictions for products through the Command Centre interface.
Setting Age Restrictions
- Navigate to Pos Products in the Command Centre
- Select the product you want to restrict
- Go to the Additional Details step
- Locate the Minimum Age field
- Enter the required minimum age value
Visual Indicators
Age-restricted items in the cart are highlighted with visual indicators to ensure staff can easily identify them.
How It Works
- A warning icon (⚠️) appears next to age-restricted items in the cart.
- The icon displays as soon as an age-restricted item is added.
- Click the icon to view the required age restriction.
- The system highlights the highest age requirement across all items in the cart.
Verification Process
The system enforces age verification before completing transactions with age-restricted items.
Steps for Verification
- Add age-restricted items to the cart.
- The system prompts for age verification before payment or order creation.
- Verify the customer meets the highest age requirement for the transaction.
- Record the verifying employee’s details as part of the process.
- Complete the transaction.
Re-verification
If you edit a booking and add items with higher age restrictions, you must re-verify the customer’s age.
Tracking & Audit
The system automatically tracks age verification details for compliance and audit purposes.
