Age Verification

The Age Verification system helps ensure compliance with age restriction requirements when selling age-restricted products. The system provides visual indicators and enforces verification steps before completing transactions.

Product Configuration

Configure age restrictions for products through the Command Centre interface.

Setting Age Restrictions

  1. Navigate to Pos Products in the Command Centre
  2. Select the product you want to restrict
  3. Go to the Additional Details step
  4. Locate the Minimum Age field
  5. Enter the required minimum age value

Visual Indicators

Age-restricted items in the cart are highlighted with visual indicators to ensure staff can easily identify them.

How It Works

  1. A warning icon (⚠️) appears next to age-restricted items in the cart.
  2. The icon displays as soon as an age-restricted item is added.
  3. Click the icon to view the required age restriction.
  4. The system highlights the highest age requirement across all items in the cart.

Verification Process

The system enforces age verification before completing transactions with age-restricted items.

Steps for Verification

  1. Add age-restricted items to the cart.
  2. The system prompts for age verification before payment or order creation.
  3. Verify the customer meets the highest age requirement for the transaction.
  4. Record the verifying employee’s details as part of the process.
  5. Complete the transaction.

Re-verification

If you edit a booking and add items with higher age restrictions, you must re-verify the customer’s age.

The system automatically tracks age verification details for compliance and audit purposes.
